Expanding global health security through local partnerships in Nigeria

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Global Health Center is seeking applications to strengthen International Health Regulations capacities in Nigeria through local partnerships. Award recipients will work to enhance the health systems and workforce management capacities of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, relevant government ministries, and sub-national public health institutions. This effort focuses on addressing the systemic gaps identified in Nigeria's 2023 Joint External Evaluation to improve the detection and response to health threats at the local level. The agency expects to issue approximately three awards under this cooperative agreement, which has an estimated total program funding of $25,000,000. Applications must be submitted electronically to the grantor contact at DGHPNOFOs@cdc.gov by 11:59 pm Eastern Time on October 2, 2026.
