Region 1 Fiscal Year 2025 Wetland Program Development Grants
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is offering the Region 1 Fiscal Year 2025 Wetland Program Development Grants (WPDGs) to assist various governmental entities in developing or refining wetland protection and management programs. This grant program aims to enhance the quantity and quality of wetlands across the U.S. by supporting projects that focus on wetland program development rather than implementation, with eligible applicants including state and local governments, Indian Tribes, and intertribal consortia within EPA Region 1 (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont). The total funding available is approximately $2,784,000, with individual awards ranging up to $350,000, and a minimum 25% cost-share is required, although this is waived for Tribes under Performance Partnership Grants. Applications are due by April 24, 2026, with notifications expected in June 2026; interested parties can reach out to Donna Smith-Williams at 617-918-1620 or via email at smith.donna@epa.gov for further information.
