Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Environmental Protection Agency’s Gulf of America Division is offering the Farmer-to-Farmer 2025 grant to improve water quality and habitat by working with farmers to prevent, reduce, or eliminate nutrient pollution. Projects may support farmer-to-farmer mentorship, monitoring demonstrations of regenerative farming benefits, innovative regenerative farming technologies, or habitat improvements tied to nutrient and soil management. Work must occur in the Gulf of America watershed and/or the contiguous zone in the Gulf of America, align with the Powering the Great American Comeback initiative and EPA statutory authorities, and is evaluated on project design, innovation, economic benefits for farmers, environmental results, and programmatic capability. The program provides $50 million total for about 20 to 30 awards of $1.5 million to $2.5 million over five years, applications are due June 19, 2026, and a Scientific Data Management Plan is required.
