FY 2025 Region 4 Wetlands Program

The EPA Region 4 is offering Fiscal Year 2025 Wetland Program Development Grants (WPDGs) to state, Tribal, territory, local government agencies, and interstate or intertribal entities. The goal is to develop and refine wetland programs, increasing wetland quantity and quality in the U.S. Funding up to $600,000 per grant is available for projects lasting one to five years. Eligible applicants include Indian Tribes, State & Local Governments, Institutions of Higher Education, interstate agencies, and intertribal consortia in EPA Region 4. Applications are due by April 6, 2026, and must demonstrate a 25% cost share. Projects are divided into two tracks: Track One for Wetland Program Plans (WPP) and Track Two for Non-WPP activities, with specific eligibility and requirements for each. Ineligible activities include wetland program implementation, fundraising, land purchase, and conventional wetland restoration. The program emphasizes environmental benefits, transfer of results, partnerships, and adherence to quality assurance and invasive species control measures.
