Limited Competition for the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development -Extended (ABCD-E) Study-Research Project Sites (U01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

The National Institutes of Health is seeking applications to renew and extend the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development Study under a limited competition cooperative agreement. Funded research project sites will follow the original pediatric cohort into young adulthood to observe the manifestation of substance use disorders, mental health disorders, and chronic diseases. The selected sites must operate as part of a highly integrated consortium that includes a central data analysis center and an overall coordinating center. Eligibility is restricted to current award recipients funded under RFA-DA-20-002, with applications due by July 9, 2026, for up to $223 million in total anticipated funding across 21 five-year awards.
