Grant Opportunity Analysis
The National Human Genome Research Institute at the National Institutes of Health is seeking a limited-competition renewal of the Analysis, Visualization, and Informatics Lab-space (AnVIL) cooperative agreement to support secure, cloud-based genomic research. The work will continue development of AnVIL as a community resource for accessing, sharing, and analyzing large-scale genomic datasets, with added emphasis on platform scalability, interoperability across the NIH data ecosystem, security and controlled-access compliance, and integration of emerging data types, AI methods, and complex analysis workflows. It also includes training and outreach to help researchers use AnVIL’s multimodal datasets and reproducible analysis capabilities. The opportunity uses the U54 activity code, is expected to be peer reviewed, and is forecast for publication in 2027 with an anticipated application due date in 2027; the estimated total program funding is $8 million for one award, and the contact email is anvil@mail.nih.gov.
