EducationUSA Opportunity Funds Program
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Mission to Zimbabwe’s Public Diplomacy Section is seeking a grantee to administer the 2026–2027 EducationUSA Opportunity Funds Program in Zimbabwe. The program supports high-achieving Zimbabwean students pursuing U.S. undergraduate or graduate study by covering application-related costs and managing related advising and student support activities. The selected organization will handle two phases of support, including standardized test fees, application fees, certifications, approved student expenses, logistical support for EducationUSA advisers, adviser stipends, and later travel and pre-departure costs for admitted students, with the program able to operate virtually and allowing administrative costs of up to 10 percent. Eligible Zimbabwean not-for-profits, think tanks, civil society and non-governmental organizations, and public or private educational institutions may apply, and the opportunity offers one award of up to $54,000 with no matching requirement.
