Grant Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Embassy in Kuwait’s Public Diplomacy Section is seeking grant proposals under its Annual Program Statement for the Small Grants Program to support projects that advance U.S. security, commercial, cultural, and educational interests in Kuwait. The program funds activities such as speaker programs, journalist training, independent studies by Kuwaiti think tanks, artistic and cultural workshops, joint performances and exhibitions, and professional or academic exchanges. Eligible projects should align with U.S. public diplomacy priorities, include a U.S. cultural element or U.S. experts or institutions where appropriate, and are limited to Kuwait-based nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and individuals; cost sharing is encouraged but not required, and organizational applicants must have a UEI and active SAM.gov registration. Awards are expected to range from $5,000 to $25,000 for projects lasting up to 12 months, with applications due July 15, 2026, and the contact email listed as PASKuwaitM@state.gov.
Eligible Applicants
The following Kuwait-based applicants are eligible to apply: • Registered Not-for-profit organizations, including think tanks and civil society/non-governmental organizations • Not-for-profit educational institutions • Individuals____________________________________________ • Only Kuwait-registered organizations or Kuwait-based individual applicants will be considered.• For-profit entities, even those that may fall into the categories listed above, are not eligible to apply for this APS.
