Grant Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Mission to Uzbekistan, operating under the U.S. Department of State, is seeking applications for the English Language Teaching and Learning Program. Recipient organizations will deliver in-person, specialized English language teacher training and direct student instruction aligned with strategic sectors such as space, critical minerals, agriculture, technology, and business. Funded programs must run for no more than two years, focus primarily on in-person activities, and produce measurable language gains that promote U.S. professional and commercial interests. Applicants must submit required administrative documents, including the Applicant Organizational Information survey to assess their financial and management capacity under federal compliance standards. Proposals must be submitted by August 17, 2026, with award amounts ranging from $200,000 to $500,000.

Eligible ApplicantsThe following not-for-profit organizations are eligible to apply:● Not-for-profit organizations, including think tanks and civil society/nongovernmental organizations ● Public International Organizations and Governmental institutions For-profit entities, even those that may fall into the categories listed above, are not eligible to apply for this NOFO. Organizations may sub-contract with other entities, but only one, nonprofit, non-governmental entity can be the prime recipient of the award. When sub-contracting with other entities, the responsibilities of each entity must be clearly defined in the proposal.
