The National Institute of Standards and Technology is offering a non-competitive grant program for Congressionally identified entities to support extramural construction projects under the 2026 Congressionally Identified Construction Grant Program. The work is intended to fund projects that expand scientific, technological, and educational capacity in the United States. Projects are expected to run up to 36 months, with a possible extension to five years under exigent circumstances, and awards will be reviewed for accuracy, completeness, technical soundness, and merit. Applications must be submitted through Grants.gov by May 11, 2026, and the program provides $255,318,030 in total grant funding.

This NOFO is for a non-competitive award to support “Community Projects Funding” identified by Congress and listed in the Joint Explanatory Statement accompanying Public Law 119-74. The only eligible applicants for this NOFO are the entities identified below in Section IV. Applicant Projects.
