FY 2026 Commercial Motor Vehicle High Priority Enforcement Training and Support Grant Program (HP-ETS)
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is seeking to fund the FY 2026 Commercial Motor Vehicle High Priority Enforcement Training and Support Grant Program, a discretionary cooperative agreement focused on improving commercial motor vehicle safety. The program supports training non-Federal employees who conduct CMV enforcement under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, Hazardous Materials Regulations, and CVSA out-of-service criteria, along with development of related training materials. Awards carry federal civil rights and nondiscrimination compliance obligations, including Title VI and ADA-related assurances, recordkeeping, and cooperation with FMCSA review and enforcement requirements; the opportunity is open to nonprofits without 501(c)(3) status and does not require cost sharing. Applications are due April 24, 2026, with up to $5 million available across an estimated three awards and a maximum award ceiling of $5 million.
