The Office of Career Technical and Adult Education is providing Fiscal Year 2026 State Allocations under the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 to states and eligible outlying areas for career and technical education program administration. The memorandum provides estimated Title I allocation amounts to support state budget planning and Perkins State plan revisions, including the distribution approach for secondary funds using poverty and population or enrollment data. It is a formula-based grant, with funds becoming available in two portions, all funds required to be obligated by September 30, 2028, and liquidation allowed within 120 days after the funding period ends. States must submit budgets through the Perkins State Plan Portal, questions may be sent to octae-formula@dol.gov, and electronic submissions are due by May 26, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time.

States including the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, as well as the Outlying Areas of American Samoa, Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, and Palau.
