The Defense Health Agency’s Fiscal Year 2026 Autism Research Program, administered through the Department of the Army’s USAMRAA, is offering an Idea Development Award to support innovative research intended to improve outcomes for Autistic individuals. The award is aimed at high-risk, high-reward projects and encourages proposals that address the program’s Areas of Interest or other critical autism-related problems, including an optional Partnering Principal Investigator approach for collaborative work. Applications are limited to nonclinical trial research, with peer review focused on scientific merit, impact, and innovation, and the opportunity summary indicates that PIs must be at or above the Assistant Professor level.
