Advancing the Centers of Excellence in Newcomer Health

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases, through its Division of Global Migration and Health, is seeking a cooperative agreement to advance the Centers of Excellence in Newcomer Health. The work focuses on improving newcomer health outcomes by establishing multi-state domestic medical examination surveillance, developing clinician training and clinical tools for domestic medical screening, and providing clinical consultation for complex medical concerns. The effort is intended to build on prior Centers of Excellence work that created a secure data repository, supported updates to health screening guidelines, and produced an online clinician tool.
