Grant Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Department of State’s U.S. Mission to Poland is offering the Freedom 250 Poland 2026 Public Diplomacy Grant Program to fund projects inspired by America’s 250th anniversary and its relationship with Poland. The grant supports innovative events and activities that highlight U.S. leadership and U.S.-Poland cooperation in business, defense, energy, science and technology, and culture, with a focus on engaging Polish emerging leaders and established professionals. Proposals must connect clearly to the United States and align with one or more goals in Security, Prosperity, Science & Technology, or Celebrating American Excellence, with substantial programming in 2026 and the option to continue into 2027. Eligible applicants include registered nonprofit organizations, individuals such as alumni of U.S. government exchange programs, and nonprofit or governmental educational institutions. Applications are due June 14, 2026, with awards from $10,000 to $40,000 and about $175,000 in total program funding expected across up to seven awards.

Eligible Applicants: The following organizations are eligible to apply: • Appropriately registered not-for-profit organizations, including think tanks and civil society/non-governmental organizations with programming experience;• Individuals to include alumni of U.S. government sponsored exchange programs; and• Non-profit or governmental educational institutions including public libraries, schools, and universities.
