The National Institutes of Health is seeking applications for Kidney Precision Medicine Project Tissue Interrogation Sites through a cooperative agreement to support kidney disease research and precision medicine. The work will develop highly integrated multi-modal analytic pipelines to interrogate human kidney biopsy tissue, with the goal of discovering new disease pathways and subgroups that can inform precision clinical trials. The program emphasizes throughput, rigor, reproducibility, and disease pathway discovery, and NIH will have substantial programmatic involvement in the awards. Applications are due July 10, 2026, and the opportunity anticipates about two U01 awards with up to $1,500,000 per year for as long as five years; foreign entities are not eligible.
