DoW Tick-Borne Disease Therapeutic/Diagnostic Research Award
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Defense Health Agency, through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs and the Department of the Army’s USAMRAA, is offering a federal grant to advance tick-borne disease therapeutic and diagnostic research. The award supports product-driven work aimed at reducing the burden of Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases and improving patient care and quality of life, including early preclinical therapeutic evaluation studies and diagnostic approaches that can be readily integrated into clinical settings. The program makes about $2.65 million available for two awards, with research expected to be feasible, impactful, statistically sound, and positioned for post-award transition; each award is capped at $1.325 million over three years. Applications use a two-step process with a pre-application due July 22, 2026 and an invited full application due October 22, 2026, with questions directed to the eBRAP Help Desk.
