Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Bureau of Justice Assistance is offering a discretionary federal grant to help state, territorial, local, and tribal governments develop, implement, or expand comprehensive responses to overdose deaths, illicit opioids, stimulants, and other substances of abuse. The program supports law enforcement-related efforts to investigate unlawful opioid distribution, expand access to prevention programs and overdose reversal medications, and strengthen treatment and recovery support services in communities and correctional facilities. Eligible applicants are other units of local government, and no cost sharing or matching is required.
