Geosciences Core Research: Atmospheric, Geospace, Earth and Ocean Sciences (GEO Core)

The U.S. National Science Foundation is seeking proposals for the Geosciences Core Research solicitation to support foundational research projects that advance the frontiers of knowledge across the geosciences. Funded projects must focus on Earth's atmosphere and near-Earth space environment, solid Earth sciences and surface processes, or any field of ocean science. The agency is particularly interested in intellectually ambitious and potentially transformative foundational research, and proposals do not need to promise near-term products or commercial outcomes to be competitive. The program has an estimated total funding of $110,000,000 to support approximately 350 awards, and proposals are accepted at any time through the closing date of August 21, 2076.
