Discovery of the Genetic Basis of Childhood Cancers and of Congenital Anomalies: Gabriella Miller Kids First Pediatric Research Program (X01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

The National Institutes of Health invites applications for the Gabriella Miller Kids First Pediatric Research Program to identify the genetic basis of childhood cancers and congenital anomalies. Selected applicants will submit samples from existing pediatric cohorts for whole genome, exome, or transcriptome sequencing and other advanced molecular assays at program-supported genomic data-generating centers. This is a resource access award rather than a monetary grant, meaning no direct funds are provided to the recipient; instead, the program covers the sequencing services to integrate phenotypic and genetic data into the public Kids First Data Resource Center. Applicants must demonstrate that their cohorts have consent for broad data sharing and provide a detailed plan for future data analysis.
