Grant Opportunity Analysis

The U.S. Department of Labor, on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Postsecondary Education, is seeking applications for the FY 2026 Postsecondary Student Success Grants Program to improve postsecondary student outcomes such as retention, transfer, credit accumulation, and completion. The grants support projects that leverage data and implement evidence-based strategies, with work organized around early-phase and mid-phase awards and required attention to the program’s absolute priorities. Applications must include a 10% cost share, follow the program’s evidence and content priorities, and grantees are expected to conduct independent evaluations and report on outcomes including retention, graduation, and time to credential. Approximately $45 million is available, with awards expected in the $2 million to $4 million range for early-phase projects and $6 million to $8 million for mid-phase projects over a 48-month period; applications are due June 29, 2026, by 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time, and questions may be directed to Robyn Wood or Nemeka Mason-Clercin.
