Engineering Environmental Resiliency (EER)

The U.S. National Science Foundation is offering the Engineering Environmental Resiliency (EER) grant program to support fundamental research that advances resource and energy conservation and recovery while protecting the natural environment and human health. The program seeks work on resilient manufacturing and energy systems, including technologies and studies involving artificial intelligence, biotechnology, quantum science and engineering, nanoengineering, microelectronics, sustainable recycling, waste minimization, critical minerals, life cycle assessment, and circular-economy analysis. It also supports research on contaminants and nutrients in air, water, soil, and sediments, nanomaterials interactions with biological and environmental media, and engineered systems for detecting and responding to pathogens and toxins.
