Grant Opportunity Analysis

The Fort Worth District is seeking a cooperative agreement to support research on ecological parameters in the forested wetlands of southern Florida. The work is being pursued through a Request for Statements of Interest and is aimed at identifying qualified organizations to perform the project, with a full proposal and budget not requested at this stage. The opportunity is limited to Cooperative Ecosystem Study Units in the Gulf Coast, Piedmont-South Atlantic Coast, and South Florida-Caribbean regions, and the review will favor the most highly qualified principal investigator, the most relevant experience, and the strongest capability to meet the program objectives. The base period is 12 months from award, with up to four additional 12-month follow-on periods depending on funding, and recipients and subrecipients must have a current Basic NIST SP 800-171 DoD Assessment no more than three years old. Statements of Interest are due by noon Central Time on 5 June 2026 and should be submitted by email, with questions directed by 13 May 2026 to the listed USACE contacts.
