The Geological Survey is offering a funding opportunity for a CESU partner to conduct research on coastal ecosystems and hazards. The primary research objective is to model the coastal flooding hazard risk reduction provided by theoretical coral reef restoration in Guam, Saipan, Tinian, and American Samoa for the Coastal and Marine Hazards and Resources Program's (CMHRP) Coastal Change Hazards (CCH) and Integrated Coastal and Marine Systems (ICMS) priority study. This cooperative agreement does not require cost sharing or matching. The funding opportunity is open to eligible recipients who are participating partners of the Californian Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) Program. The closing date for electronically submitted applications is February 9, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. ET. For more information, contact FAITH GRAVES at fgraves@usgs.gov.
