Grant Opportunity Analysis

The U.S. Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, through the Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. Mission to Malaysia, is seeking a cooperative agreement to support EducationUSA Malaysia 2026-2027 and promote U.S. higher education opportunities for Malaysian students. The program will maintain at least three EducationUSA advising centers in the Klang Valley, Penang, and East Malaysia, staffed by trained advisors who provide accurate, comprehensive, and current information about study in the United States, along with fairs, school and university presentations, and related outreach. Proposals should include a detailed advising and outreach plan, measurable objectives, demonstrate alignment with U.S. foreign policy and the Freedom250 celebration, and meet applicant requirements that include a UEI and active SAM.gov registration. The opportunity offers up to $224,000, is expected to start on August 26, 2026, run for up to three years, and the application closes on June 1, 2026.
