Biological Testing Facility for Contraception & Reproductive Health (X01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The National Institutes of Health, through NICHD, is offering investigators access to the Biological Testing Facility for Contraception and Reproductive Health to support contraceptive development and reproductive health programs. The facility can provide services for preclinical and IDE- or IND-enabling work, including compound formulation, in vitro and in vivo studies, pharmacokinetics, toxicology, fertility, and reproductive tract histopathology. Priority is given to late-stage preclinical compounds and devices; applicants do not need current NIH funding, though NIH-supported programs may be prioritized, and applications are evaluated administratively on scientific merit, facility capacity, and program relevance. The project period is limited to one year, there is no budget associated with the X01 award, and the application deadline is May 7, 2029; inquiries may be sent to nichd_fib_nofos@mail.nih.gov.
