BJA FY25 Invited to Apply—Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA)

The Bureau of Justice Assistance, part of the U.S. Department of Justice, is offering a grant to state governments to support implementation of the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA). The work is intended to help invited jurisdictions bring their systems closer to substantial compliance with SORNA’s national registration and notification standards for convicted sex offenders. This is a mandatory opportunity reserved exclusively for applicants that received a letter to apply, and there is no cost-sharing requirement. Applications are due April 10, 2026, with up to 25 awards available and a maximum award of $841,732.
