The National Institute of Food and Agriculture, an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture, is soliciting applications for the Farm Business Management and Benchmarking Competitive Grants Program. Funded projects must improve agricultural producers' farm management knowledge and skills by maintaining and expanding FINBIN, the national, publicly available farm financial management database. Applicants should propose innovative, collaborative extension activities and educational programs that directly contribute data to FINBIN to help farmers and ranchers solve agricultural and financial challenges. Applications must be submitted by 5:00 P.M. Eastern Time on July 20, 2026, for awards ranging from $200,000 to $450,000 out of an estimated $2,000,000 in total program funding.
Eligible Applicants
Eligibility Requirements: Applications may be submitted by the following entities: State agricultural experiment station; College and universities; University research foundation; Other research institutions and organizations; Federal agencies; National laboratories; Private organizations or corporations; Individuals; or any group consisting of two (2) or more of the entities described in subparagraphs (A) through (H).
