Description

The National Energy Technology Laboratory has posted a Request for Information (RFI) for the Blue Sky Training Program for Grid Scale Energy Storage Systems. The goal of this program is to educate and train various entities, including first responders, law enforcement agencies, local communities, utilities, and authorities having jurisdictions (AHJs), on how to respond to unanticipated failures of Energy Storage Systems (ESS). These failures can be caused by cyber threats, physical threats, and other operational failures. The RFI is solely for gathering information and is not a Funding Opportunity Announcement. The Department of Energy is not accepting applications for this RFI. Responses to the RFI must be submitted electronically to DE-FOA-0003282RFI@netl.doe.gov with the subject line "DE-FOA-0003282 - RFI" by 5:00pm (ET) on June 5, 2024.
