Grant Opportunity Analysis

The U.S. Mission to Nicaragua, through Embassy Managua, is offering Public Diplomacy Small Grants to support public diplomacy initiatives that advance U.S. security, commercial interests, and regional stability in Nicaragua. Proposals must align with one of three priorities: promoting U.S. trade and private-sector-led growth, protecting free speech and religious freedom while countering anti-U.S. narratives, or supporting border security and reducing mass migration. Eligible applicants include individuals, nonprofits, educational institutions, media organizations, and other qualified entities, and the application package calls for an executive summary, organizational background, project description, work plan, outcomes, performance indicators, data collection methods, and a monitoring and evaluation plan with a theory of change. Awards range from $20,000 to $80,000 with no cost-sharing requirement, and proposals are due May 18, 2026. Questions may be directed to PASManagua@state.gov.
