Grant Opportunity Analysis
NOAA is offering competitive grant funding through the Pacific Coastal Salmon Recovery Fund to support restoration of Pacific salmon populations. The program funds projects that conserve threatened or endangered salmon and steelhead, maintain populations needed for tribal treaty or native subsistence fishing rights, and restore Pacific coastal salmon and steelhead habitat. Eligible applicants are the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, California, and Alaska, plus federally recognized tribes in the Columbia River and Pacific Coast, with states required to provide a 33% match and tribes exempt; awards can support a five-year performance period beginning September 1, 2026.
