The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health is seeking applications for a cooperative agreement to support HIV/AIDS Clinical Trials Network Laboratory Centers that will help advance prevention and treatment research aimed at ending the HIV epidemic. The award is for up to four laboratory centers that will provide laboratory structure and technologies to one or more clinical trials networks and conduct laboratory testing for network trials. The centers are expected to oversee site-affiliated clinical and specialized laboratories, protect sample integrity from collection through final testing or storage, use laboratory data capture and tracking systems, approve and prepare laboratories, and maintain state-of-the-art assay capability within regulatory standards.
