Grant Opportunity Analysis

The Department of State Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, Office of Assistance Coordination is seeking proposals for projects in Egypt to advance U.S. commercial diplomacy and economic interests. Funded initiatives must focus on leveraging assistance to promote trade, champion American enterprise, and catalyze private capital across six priority areas, including AI tools for water optimization, water innovation partnerships, agricultural resource management, K-12 AI workforce and EdTech development, high-performance computing partnerships, and accelerating Egyptian startups utilizing U.S. platforms. Eligible applicants must be legally permitted to operate in Egypt, possess an active SAM.gov registration with a Unique Entity Identifier, and be prepared to execute projects lasting between 12 and 36 months starting around October 1, 2026. Proposals for approximately seven anticipated awards, utilizing up to $100 million in total funding with individual award ceilings up to $25 million, must be submitted electronically via the MyGrants portal by August 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET, or can be sent to NEA-Grants@state.gov for inquiries.
