The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is offering a cooperative agreement to extend the World Trade Center (WTC) Health Registry, with an estimated total program funding of $44 million over five years. The primary objective is to solicit research applications that will enhance the Registry, which monitors the health of individuals exposed to the 9/11 disaster, ensuring ongoing data collection and assessment of long-term health effects. This initiative is crucial for public health as it provides a centralized database for understanding the impacts of the 9/11 attacks and informs healthcare policy and disaster response planning. Interested applicants, which may include government entities, non-profits, and private institutions (excluding foreign entities), must submit their applications by February 20, 2026, with an optional letter of intent due by January 22, 2026.
