FY26-Supp #1-National Network Cooperative Agreement to the National Railroad Passenger Corporation

The Federal Railroad Administration is making cooperative agreement funding available to Amtrak to support operating, capital, and debt service needs under the FY2026 Consolidated Appropriations Act. The award covers the National Network cooperative agreement and is intended to fund Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor and National Network activities. The requested materials include a statement of work, projected operating and capital cost comparisons, descriptions of capital projects with cost estimates and completion timetables, and a description of efforts to improve Amtrak’s safety culture, along with required federal assurances and certification forms. Amtrak is the only eligible applicant, no cost sharing is required, and the submission deadline is April 30, 2026, with funds available until January 31, 2029 or until expended.
