Grant Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Department of State’s U.S. Consulate General Lagos has announced an open grant competition to implement the U.S.-Nigeria Creative, Digital, & Innovation Economy Initiative. Awardees will implement programs to build commercial relationships, professional knowledge, legal infrastructure, and institutional connections that enable U.S. companies and Nigerian creative or digital professionals to partner and grow together. Projects must focus on seven priority themes, including intellectual property infrastructure, co-production and market access, streaming and digital rights, and content creation for social media platforms and artificial intelligence tools. Eligible private institutions of higher education can apply for awards ranging from $20,000 to $60,000, with applications accepted through August 20, 2026, via LagosPASgrants@state.gov.
