Bridge2AI Network for AI Health Science
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The National Institutes of Health and its partner institutes plan to issue a notice of funding opportunity to support the continuation of the Bridge2AI program through the Bridge2AI Network for AI Health Science. Funded Centers will leverage existing Stage 1 datasets to address biomedical grand challenges and build a collaborative framework for trustworthy, reproducible, and explainable artificial intelligence in health research. Key center activities include evaluating AI models, hosting expert panels, supporting pilot research, and executing multidisciplinary cross-training to strengthen the biomedical AI workforce. The agency estimates a total program funding of $7,000,000 to support approximately three to five awards under the U24 cooperative agreement activity code.
