The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is announcing the BRAIN Initiative: Integrative Team-Research BRAIN Circuits Program (iTeamBCP), which aims to solicit applications from collaborative teams to explore the relationship between the nervous system's components and mental experiences. This program encourages teams of 3-6 Principal Investigators (PIs) to integrate diverse expertise in neuroscience and related fields to develop innovative approaches that bridge cellular, circuit, and behavioral analyses, ultimately enhancing understanding of central nervous system (CNS) functions. While applications are not currently being accepted, interested investigators are encouraged to prepare for this opportunity, which will utilize the RM1 activity code, with an estimated synopsis posting date of February 4, 2026, and a projected award date of April 1, 2027.
