U.S.-Africa Strategic Investment Program
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Bureau of African Affairs is seeking applications for the U.S.-Africa Strategic Investment Program to advance America's national interests by harnessing market-based, private sector-led growth in sub-Saharan Africa. Selected awardees will focus on two strategic areas: Critical Minerals Investment and Commercial Diplomacy Acceleration, delivering market-based solutions that strengthen the foreign investment environment through transparent and competitive processes. Successful projects must demonstrate clear, measurable benefits to one or more sub-Saharan countries, such as increased investment from high-quality, U.S.-aligned companies, while creating conditions that enable U.S. commercial participation. Applications for this discretionary cooperative agreement opportunity are being accepted through May 31, 2027, under a total estimated program funding pool of $500,000,000 with individual awards ranging from $5,000,000 to $50,000,000.
