The Department of the Army’s USAMRAA is offering the FY26 Melanoma Research Program Survivorship Research Award to support research that improves the health and well-being of melanoma survivors, their families, and care partners. The award seeks innovative projects in melanoma survivorship, with clinical trials allowed, and does not support studies focused only on animal models or on survival without attention to quality of life, overall health, or function. Applications must include at least one melanoma consumer collaborator or a melanoma-community supporting organization, and review will emphasize scientific merit, impact, PI qualifications, consumer collaboration, transition planning, and military health relevance. The program anticipates about $2.04 million for two awards, with a pre-application due September 22, 2026 and a full application due October 14, 2026, and each award is capped at $1.02 million over three years.
