Grant Opportunity Analysis

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is seeking applications to establish a World Trade Center Youth Research Coordinating Center under a U54 cooperative agreement. The selected recipient will establish and maintain a research cohort of individuals who were 21 years of age or younger on September 11, 2001, and exposed to the terrorist attacks, as well as design and implement research on the long-term health and educational impacts of these exposures. To support these goals, the Center must integrate multidisciplinary expertise across epidemiological, data management, and community-engaged recruitment fields to manage four core functional areas covering planning, IT, outreach, and research activities. Applications are due by 11:59 PM Eastern Time on February 23, 2027, for this single cooperative agreement award with an estimated total program funding of $50,000,000 and an award ceiling of $10,000,000.
