Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Bureau of Justice Assistance is funding a cooperative agreement to support the implementation and enhancement of veterans treatment court programs. The initiative is designed to connect justice-involved veterans with treatment and recovery support services, including service coordination, for substance use disorders, mental health disorders, co-occurring conditions, post-traumatic stress disorder, and traumatic brain injury. Veterans treatment courts use judicial supervision, mandatory drug testing, incentives and sanctions, and transitional services to reduce recidivism and overdose fatalities while improving access to treatment. Applications are due April 27, 2026, the award ceiling is $2,500,000, there is no matching requirement, and questions may be directed to OJP.ResponseCenter@usdoj.gov.
