Family Unification Program (FUP) Multi-Year NOFO

The Department of Housing and Urban Development is offering the Family Unification Program Multi-Year NOFO to support public housing authorities in partnering with public child welfare agencies to provide Housing Choice Voucher assistance. The program serves families for whom inadequate housing contributes to the imminent placement of children in out-of-home care or delays reunification, and youth ages 18 to 24 who have left foster care or are at risk of homelessness. Families may receive assistance with no time limit, while youth vouchers are generally limited to 36 months with possible Fostering Stable Housing Opportunities extensions for eligible cases, and there is no matching requirement. HUD expects about 10 awards from $5 million in total funding, with awards up to $1.7 million, and electronically submitted applications are due by 11:59 p.m. ET on November 10, 2026.
