Grant Opportunity Analysis

The U.S. Department of Labor, on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education, is soliciting discretionary grants for the Fiscal Year 2026 Training Program for Federal TRIO Programs to train staff and leadership so they can improve project operations. The program funds training tied to student access and enrollment pathways, student persistence, progress, and outcomes, and program operations, compliance, and leadership, with an invitational priority for career planning and pathways. Awards run for a 24-month project period, do not require cost sharing, and will be evaluated on the plan of operation, key personnel, budget and cost-effectiveness, evaluation plan, and adequacy of resources. Approximately $4.15 million is available for an estimated six awards, with annual awards from $550,000 to $1.1 million, and applications must be submitted through Grants.gov after SAM.gov registration by July 6, 2026.
