Transport Phenomena (TP)

The U.S. National Science Foundation is funding the Transport Phenomena program to support fundamental research on the transport of mass, momentum, energy, and species across multiple scales. The program covers experiments, theory, and computational modeling aimed at improving understanding and developing new analytical techniques, with an eye toward benefits in engineering applications. It places emphasis on single- and multiphase systems, interfacial and thermal phenomena, combustion, and wildland fire behavior, including research that connects microscale dynamics to macroscale material and flow properties. Proposals are accepted anytime, there is no cost-sharing requirement, and the opportunity is open to unrestricted applicants.
