Assertive Community Treatment
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, part of HHS, is offering a discretionary grant to establish or expand Assertive Community Treatment programs for transition-aged youth, adults, and older adults with serious mental illness, including people who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness. The work supports ACT services for these populations and is structured as a federal grant rather than a cost-shared award. Eligibility is statutorily limited to states and territories, political subdivisions of a state, Indian Tribes or Tribal organizations, mental health systems, and health care facilities. The program lists an estimated total funding pool of $4,263,442 for about five awards, and questions may be directed to ACTMonitoringTeam@samhsa.hhs.gov or Shane Grant at 240-276-1157.
