Proposed projects must align with agency priorities such as promoting soil health, increasing farm profitability, and improving human health through nutrition, and indirect costs are capped at 30 percent of the total federal funds awarded. The agency expects to issue approximately four awards ranging from $200,000 to $230,000 each, out of an estimated total program funding of $930,539, with electronic applications due through Grants.gov by 5:00 P.M. Eastern Time on July 20, 2026.
Eligible Applicants
Eligibility for FASLP is limited to the following groups: 1. State agricultural experiment stations; 2. Colleges and universities; 3. University research foundations; 4. Other research institutions and organizations; 5. Federal agencies; 6. National laboratories; 7. Private organizations, nonprofit organizations, foundations, or corporations; 8. Individuals; or 9. Any group consisting of two or more entities described herein. The eligibility requirements are limited to the applicant. Project partners and collaborators need not meet the eligibility requirements. Failure to meet the eligibility criteria by the application deadline will result in exclusion from consideration.
