988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline Crisis Center Follow-Up Programs

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration is accepting applications for the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline Crisis Center Follow-Up Programs cooperative agreement. Funded recipients will expand systematic follow-up services for individuals contacting the 988 Lifeline, coordinate crisis stabilization and mobile crisis outreach services, and work to reduce unnecessary first responder dispatches. Eligibility is strictly limited to 24/7 crisis centers that are active members of the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline Network. The agency expects to issue 30 awards of up to $250,000 each, totaling an estimated $7,500,000 in program funding, with applications due by July 17, 2026.
