The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is offering cooperative agreements for the FY2026 Cooperative Agreements for 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline Crisis Center Follow-Up Programs. This initiative aims to enhance the support provided by Lifeline crisis centers to individuals after initial contact, focusing on reducing suicide rates, overdose deaths, and future crises through continued assistance and linkages. The program has an estimated total funding of $7.5 million, with approximately 30 awards expected to be granted.
