Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Department of the Army’s USAMRAA is funding the FY26 Epilepsy Research Program Virtual Post-Traumatic Epilepsy Research Center Leadership Award to support leadership for a virtual research center focused on post-traumatic epilepsy research and investigator development. The award seeks a Director and Deputy Director to guide mentoring for new PTE investigators, foster collaborations, support cross-disciplinary communication, and work with lived-experience consultants and an advisory board. It is a partnering mechanism that requires both an initiating PI and a partnering PI, and applications are intended for established PTE researchers with a record of funding and publications; review emphasizes vision, leadership, management, evaluation plans, lived-experience consultation, and impact on military health. The award provides approximately $1.6 million over four years for one application, with pre-applications due August 3, 2026 and full applications due August 17, 2026, and submissions are handled through eBRAP.
