Grant Opportunity Analysis
The USDA Rural Business-Cooperative Service is offering the Delta Health Care Services Grant Program to provide financial assistance for addressing unmet health needs in the Delta Region. The program supports consortium-led projects involving health care professionals, higher education institutions, research institutions, and economic development entities, with activities that can include developing health care services, education, job training, and public health facilities. Eligible applicants must be a consortium of at least three entities with at least one year of experience, active SAM registration, and a UEI, and awards will be evaluated on community needs, project management, the work plan and budget, and local support. Applications are submitted through Grants.gov from April 1, 2026, to June 1, 2026, with awards ranging from $50,000 to $1,000,000 and a project period of up to 24 months.
Eligible Applicants
Eligible applicants are a consortium/group of three or more entities that are; Regional Institutions of Higher Education, Academic Health and Research Institutes, and/or Economic Development Entities, as defined in this Notice. The consortium must be located in the Delta Region and must have at least one year of prior experience in addressing the health care needs or the Delta Region. At least one of the consortium members must be legally organized as an incorporated organization or other legal entity and have legal authority to contract with the Federal Government.
